Beauty should never come at the planet’s expense, which is why sustainability isn’t just a buzzword for us, it’s the foundation of everything we do. From our studio practices in Santa Barbara, to our choice of materials, every step is intentional. We want you to read your clothing label like you would a food label, which is why we use 100% OEKO-TEX–certified linen and GOTS-certified cotton thread. Both are sustainably-sourced fabrics that are also completely compostable. We design for longevity, so our pieces are crafted with the quality to last for years, but once they’ve lived their full life, they can return to the earth (simply remove the elastic).

We know that the fashion industry has more than enough clothing polluting the planet. Electra offers another path: wearable art that preserves the earth and invites beauty into the everyday.

OEKO-TEX Certification

This certification means that our materials have been rigorously tested for harmful substances. In essence, OEKO-TEX assures you that each thread is safe for your skin and the environment.
